Italia Park Inform is an independent gazette for visitors to Venice. It is not a hotel desk, a tour operator or a garage. We do not take advertising. We do not recommend businesses in exchange for anything. The pages are researched from official notices, standard histories and walking the ground.
Why "park"
The name is a little awkward, which we will live with. The public gardens in Castello, the pines on Sant'Elena and the lagoon islands are part of how a visitor actually uses the city. Cars stop at the edge. The rest is walking, boats and a few genuine parks. That is the beat.
How a page is made
Each article starts with a place you can stand in. We prefer a date, a name and a measurement to an adjective. Italian toponyms stay in Italian. Where a figure moves, such as a boat timetable, we point to the operator instead of freezing a number on this site.
Photographs
Every photograph comes from Wikimedia Commons, stored on our own server, with the author and licence listed on the image credits page. We do not hotlink Commons. We do not use generated pictures.
